Making workshops work - UX Camp Brighton Talk
Making workshops work
UX Camp Brighton is an awesome one day conference held annually in Brighton. For a small conference with just a £10 entry fee it attracts people from as far away as India, punching well above its weight.
The setup is simple, you opt to attend or talk, if you choose to talk you bring a 20 min talk ready to go. At the start of the day all of the speakers gather around “The Grid” - an empty agenda - then after some build up there is a scramble to stick your talk on a time slot! and voila, 30-40 talks organised in about 30 seconds.
For my first conference talk I wanted to talk about something close to my heart - how people run workshops.
After the initial event I was invited back to give the talk again at the UX Camp Redux, a night with the top five talks! A good response to my first conference presentation!
