Let's build a bot! - UX Bristol
Chatbots are all the range at the moment. They’re in that space Apps were in about 10 years ago - no one knows what they are for yet, but everyone is pretty certain they’re going to be important.
At The Unit we’ve been approached by multiple clients who “need a bot” but don’t understand why. Together with my colleague Mat Walker we have designed a client focused workshop which takes a cross discipline team through the strategic setup to designing and effective bot, then moves into a rapid paper prototype.
In a day we move from “We need a bot” to “This is the bot we think we need”, and into a place suitable for initial user research and development with a design team.
At UX Bristol we were asked to compress the essentials down to a 1 hour workshop for UX professionals, to give people a heads up on the emerging needs and current potential of bots.
The talk was well received, and we folded the feedback into our next client iteration.
